BA thesis at Isia, Roma in conjuction with Fiat Project Leaders Veneranda Carrino, Roberto Giolito (external advisor) Brief My thesis has been developed during a seminar focusing on sustainable design. The goal of my project was to envision a new sustainable system for the transportation of goods in urban areas, using the city of Rome as the main point of reference.
Project description After a long period researching on the context, i starded to work on a future scenario in which the transportation of goods is embedded in car sharing service. This lead me to work on a concept vehicle designed specifically for a sharing context. The aim of this project was also to design a flexible vehicle for the transportation of both goods and people. A major goal was to design a more sustainable way to assemble the car, by using folded aluminum modules. The car has luminescent modules in order to communicate intended use for car sharing activities. Additional aspect have been developed to facilitate the loading and transportation of goods in the city center. Design Process This project has been developed following next steps; - Reserch on services and products - User Research (observing and interviewing people in the environment) - Framework / Scenario - Concept Generation - Concept Refinement - 3D Modelling - Presentation /video
